The versatile Matala EZ Bio Filter can be used as a biomechanical pre-filter for circulation pumps, filtration pumps, and water fountain pumps. Pond pump pre-filters prevent flow reduction due to clogging. Use on all brands of mag drive submersible pumps that have barbed or threaded inlet to help extend pump life by reducing pump stress and damage.

Ribbon type material commonly used in our AquaFalls pond filters in place of lava rock. This lightweight filter media will last indefinitely and has no negative effect on water quality unlike lava rock.
