Recommended Stocking Rates

When stocking a fish pond or lake for the first time or when adding fish to the present population, factors such as size of pond, depth, temperatures, weeds present or not present, structure, clarity, etc., all determine what kind and how many fish to stock. Please give us a call or stop in and see us for more information.

We recommend a ratio of approximately 3 or 4 non-predator fish to 1 predator fish.

LARGE DEEP PONDS - Over 14' depth, 1 acre or larger

EXAMPLE:	700	2" - 4" Bluegills
